Art on Welland Bell Boxes is excited to announce the 2025 theme:
Nature — Everything and Anything Nature
This year’s public art project invites mural proposals from Welland artists. We encourage you to celebrate the city’s remarkable natural environment—drawing inspiration from Welland’s historic canal, local waterways, scenic parks, green spaces, unique flora and fauna, the famous Welland rose, and all the vibrant outdoor beauty that defines our community.
If you are a Welland-based artist passionate about public art, now is your opportunity to help transform city utility boxes into vibrant, nature-themed murals. We are looking for submissions that showcase the spirit of Welland’s nature—rivers, gardens, flowers, insects, patterns, wildlife, and the textures and colours that make our city unique.
Art on Welland Bell Boxes is a community mural project dedicated to showcasing the creative talent of Welland artists, strengthening local pride, and beautifying our city. This initiative helps put Welland’s public art and cultural scene on the map while creating a deeper appreciation for our natural surroundings.
